What is psychological testing?
- Psychological testing consists of the administration of various measures to assess cognitive, academic, emotional, and personality functioning. It helps facilitate accurate diagnosis and comprehensive treatment recommendations.
What is neuropsychological testing?
- Neuropsychological testing is a specialized form of evaluation conducted by a psychologist with special training in neuropsychology. The purpose of neuropsychological testing is to assess strengths and weaknesses in various cognitive abilities (e.g., attention, memory, verbal and non-verbal problem-solving) that may result from various neurological conditions such as a brain injury or seizures and treatment for cancer.
